AIRYGOLD REINFORCES EUROPEAN PRESENCE WITH NEW APPOINTMENTS (01 April 2010)

 

Dairygold Food Ingredients, the progressive Irish-based supplier of cheese and dairy-based ingredients, has emphasised its commitment to the European market with two key appointments.
 
Blanca Camarasa joined the company’s newly opened Barcelona office as Business Development Manager Cheese Solutions to assist in driving sales across Spain.
 
Meanwhile, Maria Mateo has been appointed Cheese Technologist at the company’s Innovation Centre in Ireland, having gained extensive experience in the diary industry in Murcia, Spain on completion of university education.
 
“Spain and Northern Europe are key targets in the company’s expansion plans,” explains Xena Gonzalez, who heads Dairygold’s Barcelona office, “but it is vital that the products we market fit the specific needs of customers in these areas. Both Blanca and Maria bring extensive local knowledge to our offering, and we are confident that their expertise will enable us to generate increased opportunities for growth and new product development in this marketplace.”
 
With a background in Food Science and Technology, Blanca Camarasa joins Dairygold after completing a Masters degree, and will support Xenia Gonzalez in identifying and expanding new sales opportunities across the region. Meanwhile, Mateo will be based at the company’s Irish development base, tasked with creating products specifically aimed at the European marketplace.
 
Dairygold’s business in the Spanish market has been developed over the last five years and now has well-established relationships with the main players, supplying them with a wide variety of dairy-based food ingredients with special emphasis on cheese solutions
