Dairygold Food Ingredients (DFI UK) Crewe office.

Dairygold Food Ingredients is the UK’s largest supplier of cheese and dairy based ingredients servicing UK food manufacturers and the foodservice industry.

Established since 1979, the company was formerly known as Haslington Cheese, prior to being acquired by Dairygold in 2000.

DFI UK the Cheshire based division continues to expand. Since the beginning of 2009 £2 million investment was made in to enhance productivity and production at its Crewe site.

Production Facility One:
Aimed to improve efficiencies and workflow management of DFI purchased the first 5 tonnes per hour grating line in the UK. This line will have capacity of processing in excess of 600 tonnes of grated/diced cheese per week.

Production Facility Two:
This houses the Holac line which was commissioned in December 2006 and brings with it the ability to produce range of new formats, specialist grating lines and the ability to grate for retail. Also the facility has the capability to format Italian-style (hard) cheeses, it houses a dedicated slicing and crumb blending line.

Foodservice
The new area targeted for growth over the next 10 years will be to develop our foodservice offering and customer base. Currently we are supplying the top 5 foodservice customers but we still have ambition to grow further.
