Dairygold Food Ingredients Ltd offers a range of award winning Cheddar cheeses to our customers.

With a long heritage in the craft of cheese making, Dairygold offers both a traditional range of Cheddar cheeses which we make at our Mitchelstown factory along with a new breed of healthier cheeses to suit new customer preferences.

Our Cheddar is made with fresh milk collected from our own farmers close to our Mitchelstown factory and we are very proud of this provenance.

Traditional Cheddar range
In 2010 alone, our mature Cheddar picked up the top honours in its class at the World Championship Cheese contest in Wisconsin, Missouri, USA as well as Gold and Bronze medals at the Nantwich International Cheese Show.

Our traditional Cheddar cheeses come in both coloured and white and are graded into Mild, Medium, Mature and Extra-Mature by our cheese graders.

Healthy Cheddar range
Our focus on developing quality healthy cheeses paid off in 2010 where Dairygold’s 1.8% salt Cheddar won the Gold award in the “Cheese with health benefits – hard cheese category” at the Nantwich International Cheese Show. This 1.8% salt Cheddar is one of a range of cheeses which balance the consumers’ desire for taste and functionality with the need to reduce fat and salt levels in their diet.Another successful cheese in this range is our reduced fat (22%) Cheddar-type cheese.
